  Come out of hiding would be the first thing. Then use his 'awesome' god-powers for some good.

  As it is, mankind has been waiting patiently for millenia for a no show. How is he any better than Baal? Is he on the privy?

  The only 'evidence' that God is real is that old book of Jewish fables - or some other version of Holy Writ with similar claims.

  If that's all you got - well then what prevents you from believing in Pandora or Horace or the Seven Dwarfs?

  Yep.

  If he is truly omnipotent - then show his omnipotence. Fix the problems of this world with more than a dusty old book of Jewish fables.

  If he is omniscient - then show his omniscience and fix the problems of this world with more than a dusty old book of Jewish fables.

  If he is truly 'love' - then show his love and fix the problems of this world with more than a dusty old book of Jewish fables.

  id like to introduce my self as im new......a lil nervous but ready to have some conversation that doesnt require me to rely on old men in ny to think for me.

  im tired of the puppetteering, the sly green handshakes to move up, the lies turned into new light- "what happened to yes means yes?

  ", just has the makings of a bad ponzi scheme in my opinion...i officially begun my fade this year.....and im enjoying it.

  We could ask 'what about' questions all day Drew. It is meaningless.

  If God is omnipotent HE should act. But if he is not there, he cannot. Simple as that.

  And it's not just a matter of God not acting as I would have him act - no. It is about God [if he is there, or if he cares] acting because he can and it is the right thing to do. Yet nothing. There is nothing to defend in his actions - for there are no actions to behold from him are there?

  As for your 'illustration' above - that is just plain SICK! Who would want to worship an 'almighty' who allowed man to kill innocents by the millions with a nuclear war or even to allow them to create such weapons, then show his presence with the growth of a flower. WOW!

  By contrast Dennis Rader looks like a saint compared to your 'loving god'.

  Oh but smiddy, our religious friends will say, you just don't get God's plan. He is testing us - allowing these tests will show who has 'faith' in him.

  The point of this thread was that one of the three conditions must be true, by reasonable consideration. If he IS - he/she don't give a shit. Or else he ain't.

  Seems simple.

  If you walked into a house with starving children, and many of hte children screamed out that "Daddy cares, he will show up someday, I have never seen him, there is no real evidence that he ever was to here to begin with - but that dusty ole' Jewish folklore book in the corner says so" - well there is no doubt what would have to be done. Same with this earth. If we want to feed all the starving children - then it will be up to us exactly 100%. Daddy ain't shown so far, and he ain't showin'!

  So far, the argument presented holds water. There has been no sensible statement to refute it that I have seen.

  2- God cannot or will not hear and answer prayers.
  3- An omnipotent god simply does not exist.
  
  If you are searching for appropriate comeback - can there really be one?

  If I were God, or if you were God, would you allow this to go on for hundreds of years without intervention? Come on!

  There will be those who will lay vague claims like: "Well, God's plan is better than ours." "God knows best, and since he is superior to us in understanding, it will all work out for the best."

  Your view? Please share. Try and stick to the point.
